Questions You May Have
Do I need a medical degree?
All of our injectable training requires you to hold a valid NMC, GDC, GMC registration.
Our courses assume a certain level of prior medical knowledge and therefore are not suitable for non-medical practitioners. We accept Nurses, Doctors, Dentists, Prescribing Pharmacists, Dental Technicians, Dental Therapists on our courses. For skin health courses we accept non medical healthcare professionals with a level 3 beauty diploma.
As long as you meet the below criteria we can accept you on our courses. .
Entry requirements:
You must hold a valid membership to a regulatory body with no restrictions to practice or pending investigations or have any suspensions from practice
You currently work in a clinical role where you take day to day responsibilities and carry out treatment plans.
You have a health related, medically based degree (or equivalent level qualification/training)
You are an Independent prescriber or you will be working with a prescriber who will oversee your treatment with face to face consultations (BOTOX only). This is a requirement and face to face consultations are required each time.
Be proficient in carrying out injections within your current role.
You must have insurance for when you commence any training and have public liability insurance.
Work or will work in a HIS regulated clinic or your own clinic with HIS registration or if mobile HIS registered (Scotland only)
Can I train in injectables as a beauty therapist?
We are often asked if we can train beauty therapists who are keen to enter into medical aesthetics. Unfortunately, our courses are strictly for medical professionals with a registration number on the NMC, GDC, GMC register. . We are unable to train the following professions.
- Beauty therapists
- NVQ qualified beauty professionals
- Laser therapists
- SPMU
- Hairdressers
For beauticians however we do offer the following courses
- Microdermabrasion
- Skin Peels
- Micro Needling
- Carbon Laser Facials
- Dermaplaning
Are your training courses recognised?
Yes. All of our aesthetic and injectable courses are recognised by our relevant organisations as well as been approved by Hamilton Fraser and Cosmetic Insure We were voted best training provider in 2017.
I am not a prescriber, how will this affect me?
You will have to have a prescriber who will take on the responsibility of prescribing for you. We can give you a data base of potential prescribers in your area. You would have to contact them and discuss this with you. This will be required prior to you carrying out any prescription treatments such as BOTOX. For the training day this is all covered. Dermal Fillers do not currently require a prescription.
In line with NMC, GMC, GDC guidelines, prescribers are required to consult patients face-to-face before prescribing Botulinum Toxin or similar prescription products.
How do I get insurance once qualified?
Our partners such as Hamilton Fraser and Cosmetic Insure are the two main insurers who will only insure medical professionals. We supply all of the material on your course in order for you to set up once qualified.
How do I know which pharmacy to use?
Within your course content we cover all aspects of ordering supplies and pharmacies for toxin. We will also advise the best pharmacies for your sundries such as needles, cannulas and gloves.
Will training affect my work in the NHS?
When you enter into medical aesthetics it is often taken part time out with your working hours in the NHS or similar.
Many medical professionals then go onto opening up their own practice working less time in the NHS. The choice is yours and there is no restrictions on where and when you can work.
Does your clinic offer shadowing or mentorship?
Once you have completed any course it can be quite daunting when you are on your own. We can help you to get some mentorship within clinics that provide this service.
Do you offer room rental?
We are unable to offer room rental however we have a supply list of clinics that do offer this service that we will be happy to help with.
What kind of aftercare support is there?
Do you provide models?
We ask you to provide your own models when you can. This is so that your models then become your own clients and you can review their treatment post training. IF you are struggling for models then we can provide for you. All models are charged at a cost saving around 65% compared to a full paying treatment. Terms and Conditions are given to models prior to the day

How do I book a course?
Bookings can be made via the enquire here section where it will take you to the checkout. You may wish to pay in full or pay a deposit at the time of booking.
All delegates are required to pay a deposit at the point of booking, in order to secure your space and prevent someone else from booking it.
Our deposits are non-refundable, but if necessary, can be transferred to different course date in line with our course terms and conditions section.
Can I pay a deposit to secure?
How can I pay for my course?
We have 3 ways in which you can pay for your course.
Payment in full at least 3 weeks prior to the dates.
Payment scheme where you can spread the cost of your training, subject to payment of a deposit to reserve your place. Once payment has been made in full a training date can be chosen
Finance option through our payment schemes that can be paid over several months or a year.
Can I change my course to another date?
Sometimes in life things crop up and you are required to change your course arrangements. Please see the information for how we are able to change your training dates:
- Dates that have to be changed between 1-3 working weeks (7-21 calendar days) before your original training course date will incur a 30% charge plus admin fees of £25–
- Dates changed within 1 week (7 calendar days) of course date will incur a 50% charge plus £25 admin fee.
- Dates that are changed within 48 hours will incur the full cost of 100% fee plus £25 admin fee
- Under certain circumstances we will take into consideration with proof. Unfortunately no other exceptions can be made
Cancellation fees are applied due to the nature of the courses and models being booked and arranged specially for the 2 days. It is also extremely unlikely that we would fill those delegates spaces at such short notice. If you need to change your dates you must call us immediately on 01382 223249 and pay the necessary fees before any further booking can be placed.
