This course is an ideal place to start if you are completely new to derma planing or you have attended courses elsewhere but need more knowledge and hands on experience to treat your patients safely.

This course will give you the hands on training that no other course offers. First you will learn the theory through our interactive e-learning suite. Next you will attend our state of the art training facility where our tutors will guide you through live sessions treating your patients.

Our course includes e-learning and 4 hours practical sessions in clinic where you will inject the face.

We want to give you the best training possible and by this we give you an e-learning platform as well as continued professional development and ongoing support post course.

Our comprehensive Dermaplaning course will show candidates how to safely and skilfully use a surgical blade to exfoliate the skin, minimise imperfections, remove fine vellous hairs. The controlled removal of stratum corneum skin cells using a surgical blade will improve your patients skincare results and is also a great addition to any treatment menu such as combined with skin peels . Our dermaplaning course price includes a kit with enough scalpel blades and products to carry out many treatments!! All of our delegates will carry out 6 case studies in total which will be 2 in clinic and then 4 outwit the clinic to ensure 100% confidence in the treatment with unlimited aftercare support. Our courses are so popular that they run every 2 weeks. Our classes re kept small with only 3 delegates per 1 trainer at all times.

Section 1- INTRODUCTION TO DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is a physical/mechanical exfoliation that is extremely safe when performed by a professionally trained skincare specialist utilising the appropriate tools for the service. Clients love this treatment and will return monthly to have it done..

Along with hands on training this manual will help you learn the art of safely dermaplaning your clients, how to price competitively in your market, methods for integrating it into your existing treatments, offering it as an add-on, and creating your own signature treatment that your clients will love, while setting you apart from your competition.

Section 2- ANATOMY and the skin

Knowing the facial anatomy is fundamental to performing treatments. Our face shape is created by the underlying bone and muscle structure. The skin is the largest living organ of the body and therefore should be looked after and kept well presented.

You will learn about the facial bones and facial muscles as well as the skin layers in the e-learning modules

Section 3- THE hair growth cycle

Each hair follicle lives in a cycle consisting of a long period of growth followed by a relatively short period of rest. During the rest period the hair is still attached to the hair follicle, but it is not growing. After the resting phase the hair is shedding, and a newer hair begins to grow, thus, starting a new hair growth cycle.

here is a genetic precision of each hair follicle to follow a particular pattern of growth and rest. Hair follicles are programmed to stop producing hair and spend more time in the resting stage with the progression of age. Section 4- PATIENT SELECTION and consultation

How best to select your patient, how to take before and after photographs, expectations and costs. How to conduct a consultation and consent and deliver the best treatment plan.

You will need to understand what is expected of you as a professional. This includes how to conduct yourself in front of clients and interact with fellow professionals.
